My (Current) Favorite Planner Shops

With so many shops to choose from, it is sometimes very, very difficult to “check out now” and purchase from any of them. Many times, it is easier for us planner addicts to visit shops or purchase from shops that we’ve heard great things about from other people. For that reason, I have put together this list to help get you started with some shops that either I have personally purchased from, or with which I am familiar and have heard great things about.IMG_5206

Some shops may work for you, some may not. Some may sell items that suit your style, and some may not. Please remember, this list is meant as a starting point, a resource, just to get you started.

My disclaimer: I am a brand rep for a few of the shops listed, these are denoted with an asterisk (‘*’). However, trust me when I say…I. Am. Picky. I do not represent any shop just for the heck of getting stickers or planner accessories. If I represent a shop, it is because I truly do enjoy their product(s), and because they have outstanding customer service. Not every shop has good customer service, and not all shop products (stickers, inserts, washi, etc.) are the same.

STICKERS  (Listed in alpha order)

INSERTS  (Listed in alpha order)

TRAVELERS NOTEBOOKS  (Listed in alpha order)

 ACCESSORIES  (Listed in alpha order)

You may have visited a few shops with which you are very pleased. If so, please leave me a comment below and let me know about those other shops. I’d love to try out some others and possibly add to this list!

Not ready to purchase from shops right now? No problem. There are many ways to dress up your planner pages on a budget.  Check out my money-saving ideas for decorating your planner.

Until next time lovelies…Be kind 👐. Be sweet 🍬. Be real 👊 but always DO YOU! 😘 💋

Happy Mail Etiquette

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

As a #plannernewbie, we hear the words “happy mail” and get instantly excited! I know I do! It sounds SO FUN! The term itself says it’s happy…I mean really! Right?! And happy mail can be one of the most fun experiences within the planner community.

So, what exactly is happy mail? I think I have a pretty good grasp, as most of us do. Happy mail is easily defined by the #plannercommunity as snail mail received, that’s not bills or junk mail, which makes us happy. As #planneraddicts, we ALL love sending, as well as receiving, this beloved, and sometimes unexpected, happy communication. But to do this successfully, and ensure that both the recipient and sender have a pleasant experience, we should be certain to respect the following guidelines.

5 Tips to Help You Find Work-Life Balance

Like many women, I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, I work full time, and assist my entrepreneurial husband when he needs me. Yes…like many women, I too wear many hats!  And I am by no means an expert nor have I found THE perfect balance between work and the rest of my life. However, in my own struggle to find some sort of balance between working, being all of these things and finding time for myself too, I have stumbled upon five tips worth sharing. These are not scientifically proven to be the end all – be all, but I do believe they will aide in the process of finding a good balance that works for you.

I should add here that even if you don’t work outside of the house (like an office job), but you are working from home and have a family, implementing even just some of these tips would still help you in your journey to find balance in your life.

Super Simple Nail Designs

I paint my nails every day. Yes, you read that right…Every. Day. E’rry day, e’rry day. In my opinion, having your nails nicely manicured gives the sense of being a little more “put together.” So, yes, I do my nails nearly every day. If you plan it properly, this isn’t difficult to do. Especially if you just paint your nails a solid color. I mean that sounds simple enough, right? Here’s the problem, well here’s my problem – I get really really bored doing the same thing over and over and over. So more often than not, I don’t only paint my nails, I will do this using two or three different colors or texture and glitter coats to make SUPER SIMPLE nail designs. This keeps it interesting for me.

So, below is a very small gallery of those super simple color/design ideas.  Continue reading

Happy Planning with the Happy Planner™

A review of the Happy Planner™ from Me and My Big Ideas®

HFH6U1U5T4

Some time last year, I was on the phone with a friend who was doing her utmost to convince me that I NEEDED a planner in my life. I work full time, have a homeschooled child, and an entrepreneurial husband. For weeks, conversation after conversation, I managed to lovingly talk around her wholehearted efforts to convert me – a caker, scrapper, and all around crafty girl – into her sidekick as a planner addict. I must admit…her persistence paid off.  She had FINALLY persuaded me into what has now become my new addiction; PLANNING.

So now that I was convinced that I needed a planner in my life, I asked myself a few questions to understand what type of planner would work best for me, a newbie, and I decided on the Happy Planner™from Me and My Big Ideas® (MAMBI). I’ve been using it for a few months and I must admit – I absolutely love it!

Let’s discuss why…

Questions to Ask Yourself When Choosing a Planner

Planning: The New Scrapbooking

Just as orange has become the new black, planning has become the new scrapbooking. It combines the love of creative layouts with scheduling and organization! Creativity and organization – what could be better?! However, there are so many ways to begin “planning” that it can seem daunting. My suggestion would be to start with your own personal style. Answering the following questions might assist you in finding the right planner for your style (…for now 😈 You’ll understand this comment once you actually begin planning.  It can become quite addicting).

  • Do you desire the look of classic leather planners, canvas, or a customizable material (these could be leather, plastic, or fabric) cover?
  • Would you prefer a zip closure, band, or snap closure?
  • Do you like notebook, spiral bound, ring bound or disc system?
  • Are you going to use your planner for work, your own business, or family activities and meal planning?
  • Are you going to track events and activities monthly, weekly, daily, or hourly?
  • Do you wish to use your planner as an activities tracker only, or do you also wish to journal in your planner? Perhaps you wish to journal/draw in a planner but want to keep this in a separate planner.
